Access Feasibility
Access feasibility studies include layout out of a floor plan and the analyzing the configuration of rooms, hallways, corridors, exit points, etc to see if code requirements are being met and to determine if there are any conflicts within the plan.
This is a floor plan for a large addition to a hotel that we were asked to draw out and then analyze. We found that access to some of the rooms had to be altered to provide enough clearance between the top of the staircase and the room door. We also found some of the windows projected were conflicting with interior partition walls. This is all part of planning ahead and working through issues before they arise during the building process.
Windows to be covered, the location and access to the original seven-story hotel, and the connector passageways were also included in this feasibility study.
